Eight years in law enforcement in Baton Rouge, Louisiana were enough for Laurie Lynn Drummond. She left the police department, but has now gone back -- in fiction -- with a debut collection of short stories, interrelated tales set in Baton Rouge. Her characters are so realistic that one reader said on Amazon, "I'm from Baton Rouge, and I think I know some of these people!"
