One of the most unlikely nonfiction bestsellers in the spring of 2005 is an offbeat book by one of the nation's most acclaimed young economists. Steven Levitt doesn't practice economics like most people would define that term. In fact, for what he does he had to invent a term: freakonomics. Levitt is interested in real-world issues more than in theory.
