In 2004, comedian Tony Hendra wrote a memoir that became a bestseller, called Father Joe: The Man Who Saved My Soul. It was billed as a confessional book, but when his daughter Jessica read it, she realized he'd left out something important: his sexual molestation of her when she was a child. Jessica Hendra takes the title for her memoir from the title of a piece her father once did for the The National Lampoon: How to Cook Your Daughter.
