One of the great tragedies of the Vietnam War happened nowhere near a battlefield and wasn't even the result of anything the enemy did. On July 29, 1967, a jet on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal accidentally fired a missile into another plane on the flight deck. The fire ignited old World War Two-era bombs and set off a firestorm on the ship that took 134 lives. Journalist Gregory Freeman now tells the harrowing story.
