A son whose father never said much about his role in World War Two is plunged into that very world upon his father's death, in Scott Turow's novel Ordinary Heroes. The son is a recurring Turow character, courthouse reporter Stewart Dubinsky. The story is told from two points of view, as Stewart gradually uncovers the startling truth about what his father did in the war.
