Prince Georges County, Maryland, outside Washington, D.C., is the wealthiest African-American suburban county in America. It's the setting for Connie Briscoe's novel "P.G. County" -- as it's sometimes called in Washington -- the story of several well-to-do black families. And even though she's never lived in Prince Georges County herself, Briscoe knows her characters very well.
