In the days immediately after the horrors of September 11th, 2001, Americans reached out to find meaning and explanation, reassurance and guidance. Many turned to the words of Rabbi Harold Kushner, who's best known for his classic book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People." Just one week before the terrorist attacks, Kushner published his latest book. That book is now out in paperback, with a new afterword by Kushner about the 9/11 aftermath.

Harold S. Kushner is Rabbi Laureate of Temple Israel in Natick, Massachusetts, where he resides. He has been honored by the Christophers, a Roman Catholic organization, as one of the fifty people who have made the world a better place in the last half century, and by Religion in American Life as the clergyman of the year in 1999. He is the author of When Bad Things Happen to Good People and eight other books.
