The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank

A young man comes to America after World War Two to reinvent himself, but learns that his past is not so easily buried, in Ellen Feldman's novel. Feldman uses fiction to imagine what kind of life could have been constructed by Peter van Pels, the shy teenager who lived in hiding with the Franks, if he had survived the war. The book was inspired by a 1994 visit to the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam.
