When it was revealed in the winter of '97 that a team of scientists in Scotland had successfully cloned a sheep, it touched off waves of both excitement and fear, optimism and dread, admiration and hatred. The team that produced the sheep named Dolly was led by embryologist Ian Wilmut, who now describes how the cloning took place, and what the future of cloning is and isn't. His book is called "After Dolly."
