Among the U.S. troops serving in Iraq, about 8-percent are women. While there are still some combat roles they are barred from, female troops are critical to the frontline war effort, especially in a war where there is no well-defined "front" at all. Among those who went to war was Kayla Williams, a skilled Arabic interpreter, who describes her wartime experience.
