Cussler's novels make reference to an outfit called the National Underwater and Marine Agency, or NUMA. And, thanks to Cussler, there really is such an organization, which searches for shipwrecks of historical significance. In 1996, Cussler wrote a nonfiction account of NUMA's adventures, called "The Sea Hunters." And now comes its sequel.
