There are fewer and fewer places left on earth to be conquered by humans. But one thing that had never been accomplished was a complete navigation of the great Nile River, from its source high in the Ethiopian mountains to its mouth at the Mediterranean. In 2004, Pasquale Scaturro led an expedition to run the 3,000 miles of the river.
