Paris to the Moon

In 1995, "New Yorker" correspondent Adam Gopnik moved to Paris, along with his wife and small son, to write the magazine's "Paris Journals." It wasn't long after he arrived, he says now, that he realized he would have to write a book, which he says is a series of "poetic pieces about private life and public life."
