Life's Work

Life makes more demands on most of us than we would like. There's work, there's family, there's e-mail, faxes, soccer, pets, travel, deadlines, illness, PTA, PDAs, cell phones, carpool, wedding invitations, dry cleaning, groceries, and, oh yes, leisure time. So why do so many people seem to think they should be able to do it all? Lisa Belkin addresses that very question in her New York Times column, "Life's Work" -- and that's also the title of her new book.
