The Sci Fi Channel calls Frederik Pohl "a living legend," a master of speculative fiction. Over 25 years ago Pohl wrote a novel called Gateway that stunned and enraptured readers as it took them into a world where human space explorers were using a technology they didn't really understand, which promised either fabulous wealth or a horrible death. Now, a few sequels later, Pohl revisits the Gateway.
