Barney Ross is sometimes called one of the two greatest Jewish boxers of the twentieth century. But he has faded into obscurity in recent years, forgotten since the end of the era of high-profile professional boxers. Now journalist Douglas Century writes the story of the life of Barney Ross, the Jewish kid from Chicago who made a name for himself in the ring in the '20s and '30s, then became a hero in World War Two. The book is called Barney Ross.
